X-ray of a Child's Hand and Wrist

You selected: ulna

One of the two bones of the forearm - it lies on the side of the 5th finger. Note the epiphysis at the top of the bone. A cartilagenous epiphyseal plate lies in the slight gap between the ulnar epiphysis and underlying diaphysis. The bone elongates at these plates during growth.

The ulna does not directly articulate with any of the carpal bones.
