As I understand it after the earth was formed, there were great

electrical storms and volcanic activity. I don't see how from

this activity, organic compounds and subsequently simple organisms

were formed.What are the current theories reguarding this? Have

there been any experiments conducted to try and simulate what the

earth would have been like then and see if this results in the

formation of simple organic compounds?
