I am sure that you will have no problem finding lots of information on Three Mile Island. You may want to check the back issues of magazines like Time, Newsweek, and Scientific American. From the time of the accident in 1979 throughout 1980 there was a wealth of information published on TMI. In addition, try doing a search on the Internet, using "Three Mile Island" or "Three Mile Island Accident" as your key words. I am sure that you will get some results. As a starting point, here are some links that you may try: Government Memo on TMI, Nuclear Industry Pub #14.
I cannot contribute any direct, personal knowledge of TMI. I followed the events in the news, but I never did any type of research on the accident itself. There is a great deal of information on this subject; good luck in your search!
