Justin,

You are correct, any effect that gravity has on electrons flowing through
a wire would not be measureable.  The effect would be even a lot less than
a millionth of a nanosecond!  This is due mainly to the extremely small
mass of the electron.

This is not the same thing as when the gravity of a black whole bends
light.  What is happening in this case is that gravity is distorting the
space around the black whole, therefore the path that the light must travel
is changed or "bent".  As a result, we say that the light is being bent.
In reality, what we are describing is the fact that gravity has caused the
light to travel along a curved path.
