Is it true you can make a pine cone 'blossom' or open up with heat? 
My mom and I are working on my 1st science project.  I'm in the first
grade so we need to keep it simple.  We live in the mountains and have
alot of pine trees (Ponderosa, Juniper, etc.) in our yard.  I wanted
try to heat up the pine cones in different ways and measure the 
differences (weight and size).
