Electrolysis of a fused ionic compound
Sodium Hydroxide has a relatively low melting point. If it were
melted and an electrical current strong enough to cause oxidation and
reduction were passed through it, one product would likely be sodium.
My question is, would the other product(s) be hydrogen peroxide or a
mixture of water and oxygen, both in the gaseous forms.
