It depends. 

A petri dish is just the plastic or glass dish. They can be filled with
all different kinds of growth media. So the types of bacteria that
could grow will depend upon the growth media you have in your petri dish.

There is no single media that will let every kind of bacteria grow, but
something like Nutrient Agar or another rich media will certainly let
many different types of bacteria grow. That is probably suitable for the
experiment you wish to do.
