I am looking for a substance that will complex with a simple sugar
solution (I'm working with glucose, fructose, and sucrose) to give
it some sort of coloration so as to be able to determine concentration
with a spectrophotometer (I am aware of being able to do this using
the index of refraction, but we have no instruments at our school
that would interface with a calculator/computer that could measure
refraction, which is the goal of my project (that is, interfacing
with a computer/calculator)...
Thank you.
