Subject: Chemical Light / Using Peroxide and Ester

I was wanting to know if you could tell me about ester. I watched a 
program on TV a while back andd it was showing an experiment of how 
fireflies were able to produce light. I remember that they mixed 
Peroxide & Ester to produce the glow. I was wanting to show my 
children and I do not know exactly what ester is or where I can get 
it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
