Ahhhh hhh.. i can see the Halloween season is upon us!
Sorry to disappoint, but alas, no one, not even my boss, has ever turned into a werewolf (!note the spelling). You can follow the link to learn more about the history behind werewolf stories.
Such metamorphosis is impossible, given the laws of physics and biology. The closest I can think to such as rapid metamophosis is the caterpillar changing into a butterfly (hardly worthy of the usual horror flick plot). Well, on second thought, maybe I *can* think of something equivalent... but at a rather different level.. something goey and slimy.. maybe even "hairy" if the conditions are right..
Yes, that's the lowly bacterium. If you want a Dr. Jekyll/Mr Hyde act, look no further than the critters that spend the day twiddling about your mouth. Many bacteria, given the right conditions, secrete lots of exopolysaccharides, science speak for Slime. It's even possible to watch them do it under a microscope... Critters here, grow and divide, proliferating to uncountable numbers, secreting ever more slime in uncountable proportions....
Here in the lab.. you couldn't ask for more..
