This is what i understand......

the alpha keratin in hair are linked together by disulphide bonds.

hydrogen peroxide, which is used to bleach hair, oxidises cysteine in 
the keratin, making more disulphide bridge as it removes hydrogen 
atoms connected to the sulphur. This leaves hair brittle.

Perming lotions have opposite effect - they break disulphide bonds.

So from my point of view , both bleaching and perming at the same time 
don't seem to cause a problem since both crosses out each other.  But 
my answer, it seems , is not correct . Why?
