I am a amateur mathematician. On PBS I saw a show on the guy Andrew Wiles who proved Fermat's Last Theorem. Some of the mathematicians
"hinted" that Fermat did not have any proof. That Fermat just stated
his theorem with on proof. Is this a general consensus in the math
community?
