Dr. David Winsemius, I did an experiment but I didn't grind the salt. What  I did was put 1 tablespoon of salt and baking soda  into 2 seperate  6 oz glasses of water.  It took the salt 23 hr dissolve and the baking soda 26 hour to dissolve, however the glass of salt was still a little foggy but the glass of baking soda was crystal clear. I think the salt dissolve better than the baking soda becuase it took only 23 hours. Could you please help me?
