Hello Amy.  Sorry we're late hear but the answer to your question is that 
all parts of ALL Daphne's including the seeds are considered toxic if 
ingested.  Contact with the sap may cause skin irritation.  D. retusawhich 
originates from W China (W.Sichuan, Yunnan) is also considered toxic, ahh 
but they are a beautiful .  ...Mark
