I know that when I move my hand in the same direction of the falling
object, the impulse of the object will be decreased. Some books said
that it is because the time of impact is longer, so the impulse is
decreased. But actually, the hand dosen't touch the object, so how to
increase the time. In my opinion, it is because the velocity of my
hand is increased, so that decrease the relative velocity of my hand
and the object, therefore the impulse is decreased, is it right?
please forgive my poor english.
