I teach Physics and whilst teaching about waves and the range of human
hearing my students have asked what the hearing ranges are for other
species of animals including but not limited to : dogs, cats, whales,
bats, insects, and rodents. I have found conflicting information
about dogs. Your site has an answered question which states dogs can
hear from 20 to 40,000 Hz. Another site lists small mammals as
hearing only up to 30,000 Hz. I am interested in obtaining CORRECT
information with both upper and lower limits for the species I
meantioned and any other species as well. Thank you.
