I believe that when the air is cold the molecules are closer
together. As in frozen water is solid to warm water is liquid. Cold
moist air would create an environment for the static in the air to
travel with ease. This would also facilitate the movement of sound
through solid objects, i.e. walls. Is this theory sound? If so
could you expound upon it?
