Does anyone know anything about the chemistry behind a the
diphenylamine/KCl test for nitrates in water? I work in an analytical
lab and we have been trying unsuccessfully for three weeks to get the
test to work. A 0.2ppm and 0.3ppm standard solution is not turning
blue. No significant absorbance is found spectrophotometrically
either.

Thanks for your help in advance!
