Can you please tell me what type of rock or mineral we found in our 
local creek. We are located 60 miles northeast of Atlanta Ga. The 
creek is very shallow and sandy with large boulders. The rock we are 
interested in is of a shale type, but very transparent and soft. The 
thicker pieces have a gold apperance to them. Thank you for you help.
