You need to clarify your question. 
Steam is a gas that is often produced in food processing. 
Other gases would depend on the food being processed and how 
it is processed.
Some foods when digested do produce gas [flatus]. Often 
complex sugars or trisaccharides are involved. They are used 
by bacteria in your gut which produce carbon dioxide and 
methane in metabolising these sugars.
