Subject: Do earthworms regrow after being sliced into two or more pieces?

Our multi-age class (second and third graders) has been studying 
earthworms. Several great questions were raised. My students would 
like to write to you directly. I want to make sure they will get a 
response. The other questions they raised are: do earthworms have 
noses, what do they do in the winter, and do they have nine brains?
