Please refer me to a study or studies of whether visual or auditory
stimuli are stronger in capturing a human's attention. Has anyone
done experiments to determine if, when presented simultaneously with
visually displayed information and different aurally delivered
information, a subject will pay more attention to one or the other?
My guess is that visual stimuli are much stronger than auditory
stimuli, but I need to have scientific evidence to back this up.

Thank you for your consideration of this question.
