Dear Tobias

I STILL don't think it's possible!

What seems to be happening is that some companies will put people into
"cold storage" when they die, and keep them there indefinitely, the idea
being that, at some point in the future, technology may have advanced
sufficiently to revive them, and presumably cure them of the condition
from which they died.

We know it's possible to store cells for long periods in deep freeze (e.g.
sperm cells and egg cells), and subsequently thaw them out and use them,
but as far as I'm aware, we're a long way from applying this technology to
a living body.

Beam me outta here, Scottie!

Best wishes

Doc C-P
