The exact frequency ranges given for various animals vary somewhat from
study to study. My best source gives the following:
cats: 45 hz to 60,000 hz
dogs: 50 hz to 45,000 hz
bats: ? to 120,000 hz
and the record holder for the high end:
dolphins: to 200,000 hz
