'm doing a Master in Communication in the "Universidade Aberta", Lisbon - Portugal; I'm a dentist, graduated in Dental Medecine in the Coimbra's University. I must do a work in this Master about intercultural communication and its difficulties... and I'd like to do something about the racist stereotypes in dentistry... It is very common, when I say that I work as a volunteer in some Health Organizations doing work as a dentist in african countries, that people say:"it's amazing, because black people always have good teeth!"

I believe these kind of thaughts help a lot to increase racist reactions, and I would like to find some comparative studies about black people teeth and dentistry, in order to complete my work. I hope you will be able to help me... and I apolgize for my very poor English! Thanks. Horácio Lopes.
