Dear Kevin,
The answer is, "no." Toasting bread doesn't have any effect on calories. The amount of heating that occurs when toasting bread is not enough to alter calorie content. The one nutrient that can be affected is thiamin, which is sensitive to heat. The darker you toast the bread, the more thiamin is destroyed.
