In
polycythemia there is an increase in the production of blood cells, leading
to a "hyper viscous" state in the blood. This results in general hypertension
which can affect every organ. My resources make no connection directly to
kidney function, but there still may be an indirect relationship between
polycythemia and renal hypertension.
