I did the demo for my students where I throw a penny in some HCl 
and the HCl reacts with the Zn on the inside leaving just a 
copper penny shell.  However, the reaction sat for a few days and 
long behold, the soln turned blue (Cu2+ ion) and the penny was 
gone.  Why did this hap
