Wayne,
Thanks for the question. I had to do some digging in the literature because I was not aware of any application of Buckyballs in the field of agriculture. One paper published in 1994 by Franco Cataldo (Carbon, 1994, vol. 32, page 437) reported that buckyball type molecules which are reacted with chlorine can be used to control insect pests. In a seperate paper published last year by group of researchers in France (Fr. Eur. Polymer Journal, 1998, vol 34, page 905), molecules similar to buckyballs were shown to be effective at controlling weeds. I don't know of any commercial use of buckyballs in agriculture at this time, any ideas?
