This is an example of naive genetic determinism based on small samples. If 
you surveyed, say, 10,000 8 year-old boys, you would find others who didn't 
want to wear shoes, irrespective of their heredity.  The boy's 
disinclination to wear shoes has nothing to do with his genetic background.
