Titan is a large moon of the planet Saturn, and is one of the largest moons in the Solar System. It is larger than our own Moon which revolves around our planet, Earth.

Since Titan is so big, it can hold on to clouds of heavy gases. Its strong gravity pulls clouds of nitrogen and argon and methane and keeps them from escaping out into space.

[ Moderater's Note:

For more info on Titan, and other moons in the Solar System, take a look at Bill Arenett's Nine Planets web site.
