Re: Where do water beetles and frogs go in Alaska after it freezes?

Some of the beetles can survive short periodes buried in the mud.  However, 
they cannot survive the winter.  The eggs or larvae can survive the winter 
however.  The frogs survive by burrowing in the mud above the water on the 
riverbank.
