I suggest that you add ammonium hydroxide. Add it slowly, dropwise, with 
vigorous stirring, and monitor the pH during this.

The ammonia will form the Zinc diammine complex which will retard the 
precipitation of the Zn hydroxide, and will also increase the pH.
