Unfortunately, there isn't anything you can do with bird eggs when left
behind. Nature has a way of taking care of itself by not allowing the weak
to reproduce. In other words there may have been a reason the mother left
the eggs, like there was no sign of life in them. The only time it may be
good to interfere with baby birds is when they are too young to fly and they
have been blown out of their nest and you are unable to find the nest they
came from. Don't worry about handling any kind of wild babies and putting
them back into a nest - this will not cause the mother to stop taking care
of them - that is an "old wives' tale". If you do find some baby birds (or
any other wild baby animal), it is best to find someone locally who takes
in wildlife for rehabilitation into the wild, they know how to raise the
young so they can be put back in the wild and survive normally. You can
usually find someone through your local veterinarian or humane society. If
you are interested in learning how to do it yourself, learn from a person
currently doing it or study plenty of reading material on it first - before
you get in the situation - so you will be prepared.
GOOD LUCK
