I've searched high a low for a standard method to measure soil pH, but with no
luck. I'm a chemistry lecturer but even our geology lecturer's don't know if
there's a standard technique. They advise mixing the soil with water and
sticking a pH probe in - but this seems really crude! Is there a recognised
method?
