Dear Tops,

Your question is rather a "theory", right ? It remembers me to the thoughts
of an ancient greek philosopher (was it Platon?). He also found some
apparent "contradiction" (the famous story about Achilles and the turtle)
and therefore denied the existence of movement. Nowadays, his
"contradiction" has be solved by mathematics (see calculus textbook) and
people smile about his radical thinking.

You mention some contradiction within the theory of special relativity and
draw a radical conclusion, too. But let me tell you that the apparent
paradoxons (e.g. the twin paradoxon) have been solved by careful thinking
(see good textbooks on relativity).

Having said that, I have to tell you quite frankly, that science does not
know what time really is ! Some clever man said "As long as nobody asks I
know what time is but if somebody asks I don't know what time is any more".

(A general remarks at the end:
Let me quote you with "time is just another theory by scientists". This
sounds somewhat arbitrary to me. Over the last centuries, hard working
physicist have developed a more or less consistent picture of the world we
live in. This picture has been accurately tested by many experiments.
Experiments are the test every "theory" has to face. Can your thoughts
about time be tested by experiment ?)
