I am a screenwriter and I have been here before and have had great
responses, so I'm trying again. My story involves an isolated
beach town that is going crazy. I have researched beriberi and
found that certain types of fish have an enzyme that inactivates
thiamine in the system. A corollary question would be "Does
alcoholism contribute to the effects?"
