Dear Miss Herbert,
I do not think is possible that a fly (but which kind? Musca?) could eat through
a fabric screening. The flies suck or drink their food, do not bite it, for they
have no teeth.
I think that the reason of the holes in the fabric screening should be
another one, possibly corrosion.
Yours faithfully
Dr. Faoro
