Some 25 years ago I saw on a Nova program how a university (unknown) was exper- imenting on basalt and found that the lava rock can be made into a steel/metal that is 3 times stronger than iron ore processed steels made today, as light as aluminum and can be made almost transparent. A few months ago I saw on a news broadcast that a car manufacturer was using a new type of lightweight steel. I need to know: is this the metal made from basalt and who is making it? This knowledge of who's making this metal may just get me a job I desperately need. Thank You, Jae.
