dear Craig, thank you for the question! It is not so easy to answer to your question. So, the scientist yet today debate on how we choose mates, so it is impossible to give you a unique answer. I could you say: - about 70% of all informations our brain receive came from the sight (so, now you could understand the power of "visual attraction"); - in humans, the capacity to "screening" smell is a little thing. You have to think that in the cat brain, the part dedicated to examine scents is about 100 bigger that in humans. Really, we can say that they "see" the scents. - even if more than 70% of information that we receive came by eyes, humans take infomations by ears, mounth, nose and skin. The debate between scientists is how important are this kind of information for our brain (and which is more important than other). But no one , now, could answer that. So, dear Craig, it seem that the biologists have something to work on for some years! I apologize for my english. If you do not understand any comments, please, write to me ( i hope to answer you with minor delay). yours sincerely Luca
