I have been told that it is more efficient to heat water with microwaves 
than with other electrical based heat sources. If this is so, then why has 
no one developed a residential (or commercial) hot water heater (or have 
they)? Would such a hot water heater be cheaper to run and would it need to 
have any special shape?
