One of my favorite games for the Sony PlayStation system is called 
"Monster Rancher."  It's like a virtual pet, only the "pet" comes from any 
ordinary CD or CD-ROM.  How it does this, I don't know; and Sony's 
websites are of no help.  Each monster is different in type, color, and 
personality, also taken from the data.  This is as specific as I know how 
to get.
