Hi Edward,
The technology to do the things you were asking about exists today. IBM has 
the software to do the voice recognition and even translate it into text. 
As far as your computer being able to answer you intelligently, this is 
another thing. We have some sophisticated AI programs that are coming 
close. So in responce to your query, YES, you will see this come into 
reality. As far as the question about asking your computer silly questions, 
I feel like the computer will adapt itself to your questions. When it 
starts compiling a data base of questions and answers, it will become 
obvious that you are just playing with it and it will probably let you know 
in a very subtle manner that it is tired of your nonsense.
