I have experience with this situation that all started as long standing joke to
stay up to change the clocks when the time changes. Anyway, most stations
simply skip a show when the time changes in the spring (spring forward) and
broadcast either a paid advertisement or a second episode of the same show on at
2PM when the clocks are set back (fall back). Some stations show movies at that
time of night anyway and start the correct time schedule when the movie is over.

It used to be pretty common that TV stations did not broadcast 24 hours a day,
so correcting the time change was easy -- simply start the next broadcast day
at the correct time (usually like 4:30 or 5:00 AM).

Sincerely,

Tom "Night Owl" Cull
