A response to an earlier question about how fluoride kills bacteria said
that fluoride works only by making teeth "stronger". However, several of
my microbiology textbooks and websites in favor of fluoridation say that
fluoride destroys vital bacterial enzymes. Could you please clarify your
earlier remarks?
