Please see this recently posted answer to a question similar to yours: sphere
There is NO FIELD inside a sphere or a geodesic type of arrangement. You can't even force there to be a field! However, if you introduced a small electrode somewhere inside the sphere there would be a field surrounding the small electrode, up to the inside surface of the large sphere.
