A reflex is a neuronal pathway used for fast action .. you don't have to
think "oooh is this hand gonna touch my face or just hit it ?" your head
just moves away ... a sort of fast reaction pathway that does not involve a
consciousness thinking process.
Just like mussels you can train your nerves to react (conduct, because that
is what they do) faster ... this by using them a lot, eating the right kind
of food ...and having a good body homeostasis. (meaning:" well rested,
don't eat to many red meat, (more fish), not to much sugar, i.e. very
healthy food and live style)
Some reflexes (like goal keeper) are faster because of training ...you can
compare it with a path in a wild Forrest ...if the path is used a lot ..it
will stay open ...and is easy to access ...if its not used, it will be
overgrown by the Forrest. the same for muscles and nerves ...if you use
then a lot (and in specific manners) they will be fast and strong ..if you
don't use them ... they will slow down ...and eventually stop working.
