MadSci Network: Engineering |
I can only provide you with a partial list and strongly recommend that you do some research on your own. You can find basic information about refrigeration in 'Perry's Chemical Engineers' Handbook' or more specifics in other texts dedicated to refrigerants. Your local public or university library will be able to help you find the necessary references for a more detailed analysis. A search of the internet will also provide you with a wealth of links on the subject. To get you started, some of the things you will have to take into consideration will inevitably include: the total load (how cold do you need to get) temperature of the refrigerant what kind of energy you will be using characteristics of your condensing media how much space you have to work with health/safety hazards associated with the refrigerant your budget (both investment and daily operating) reliability of different equipment disposal concerns and expense etc. Lots to think about... Good luck with your research! Kieran
