For example if a fat persong were to go without food (but plenty of water) would he survive until he ran out of energy (fat) reserves. What would be the ultimate cause of death in this situation? (is it a lack of energy to keep the heart going?) I am not talking about chronic starvation and malnourshiment - more like a healthy person in a survival situation. It seems to me that the fat person might live a little longer, but that they could not for some reason completely/instantly switch to complete reliance on fat reserves?)
