Dear Sonnia,

In 1997, according to the Federal Government, those with:

a bachelor's degree and no experience could start at between $19,500 and
$24,200;

a master's degree could start at $29,600;

and a Ph.D. degree between $35,800 and $42,900.

However, Forensic Anthropology is a very specialized field and the salaries
could range much higher depending what type of employment you are seeking
(for example, university versus government).

I suggest that you check out the following website:
http://www.uncwil.edu/people/albertm/faqs.htm

This is the site of A. Midori Albert, Ph.D. He is a forensic anthropologist
and is interested in helping with education and career planning. He also
invites people to e-mail him with specific questions such as yours.

Sincerely,

Dr. Smerken
